Location
Brookdale Cottages are charming cottages situated in the heart of the quaint village of Hilton which is nestled in the hills above Pietermaritzburg. Ideally situated only 3 kms from the N3 motorway and within close proximity to all the schools such as Hilton College, St Annes College, Grace College, Cedara Agricultural College and Cowan House. Hilton is the gateway to the Midlands Meander Arts & Crafts route and the Drakensberg Mountains, yet only one hour to the coastal city of Durban and the Moses Mabhida Stadium.

Description 
We have three thatched cottages which are set around the swimming pool in an attractive country garden. Bramble, Rose and Briar Cottages are individually and tastefully decorated. The three cottages vary in size but are all well equipped for your comfort. Electric blankets, down duvets and heaters for those chilly winter nights, hospitality trays, Television with DSTV (Bouquet). On site covered parking is provided behind automated gates, the property is fully fenced and secure.

We offer a Full English breakfast served in the sunny diningroom or outside next to the pool. Bramble and Rose Cottages are equipped for Self-Catering and Briar Cottage is semi Self-Catering.

We offer a quiet evening retreat for corporate clients who just want to relax after a busy day.

Hilton has two small shopping centres and various restaurants and pubs nearby. At Hilton Station you will find the Steam Train Museum and vintage steam trains.

We are within easy walking distance of two wetland areas which abound with birdlife.

Then you can venture further afield to Midmar Dam, Howick and the Howick Falls and Mandela Capture Site, Karkloof Canopy Tour or visit the birdhide at the Karkloof Conservation Centre.

For the golfers you have a choice between the Sakabula Golf Club, Victoria Country Club and Maritzburg Golf Club.
